Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and it is suggested that plenty of water should be consumed to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session. $35 per 30 minutes; $85 per 90 minutes
Myofascial release is soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain. $35 per 30 minutes; $85 per 90 minutes
Also known as a Swedish Massage, a relaxation massage is very relaxing and therapeutic. It combines an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. $35 per 30 minutes; $85 per 90 minutes
Massage Cupping is a modern adaptation of the ancient art of cupping therapy. While massage is performed by applying pressure, cupping instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues. It is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines and rheumatism. At this time Tonia is the only therapist offering this service. It can be added onto any massage for $10 more. $45 per 30 minutes; $95 per 90 minutes
Hot Stone Therapy
In a Hot Stone massage, oil or lotion is applied, then heated stones are used to massage and also placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation in your muscles. The heat allows the body to release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating. $45 per 30 minutes, $95 per 90 minutes
Using light to create heat, an infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you. The appeal of saunas in general is that they cause reactions similar to those elicited by moderate exercise, such as vigorous sweating and increased heart rate. Studies have found some evidence of benefit in treating common ailments. No adverse effects have been reported with infrared saunas. If you're considering trying a sauna for relaxation, experience it for yourself! Can be added on before or after massage or enjoy it with no massage at all. Not to be used during pregnancy or heart condition is present.
Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation in preperation for delivery. $35 per 30 minutes; $85 per 90 minutes
A Basic Facial is a well known skin treatment that cleanses pores, exfoliates away dead skin cells, and treats common skin concerns. Each facial begins with a consultation to determine the best products for your skin. This is followed by cleansing, toning, applying a mask, massaging and finishing with a recovery cream. This will increase blood circulation, exfoliate, clarify and normalize the ph of the skin. The overall experience is very soothing and relaxing, leaving you with a happy glow.
Also known as a chemical peel, a glycolic peel is a non-invasive treatment that removes upper layers of dead, damaged skin and encourages skin cell regeneration. This type of peel provides gentle treatment for fine lines, acne, chronic dry skin, and uneven pigmentation. This treatment is directed more towards tougher non-sensitive skin. It may also diminish age spots and acne. This is then followed by a basic facial to give extra care to the skin. Relax while knowing your skin will be looking better than ever before!
A couple may enjoy side by side massages in the same room. Please call or text Kate to schedule 570-396-0312
A chair massage is done in a specialized ergonomic chair which allows your body to rest comfortably in an upright but relaxed position. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
Chair Massage is generally 5 - 30 minutes. Done in our office or on-site. Travel fee of $25 to your site.
Willing to travel with chair and/or table to your location for an individual or a group. Additional $25 travel fee.
Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. At this time, Cynthia is the only therapist offering this service. $35 per 30 minutes, $45 per 45 minutes
